How much does staying at the care home cost?
There are several options, including part and fully-funded care. The pricing we offer is competitive and tailored to the individual’s needs. Residents can also access additional paid-for services including hairdressing, chiropody, opticians, daily reading material, and many more. We also offer support for outings to medical appointments or social visits which would include an assistance fee
What training do staff undertake?
The staff are trained in all aspects of care they provide to Residents.
The common mandatory training courses for a care home staff are:
- Health and Safety Awareness Training.
- Food Hygiene/Food Safety.
- Manual Handling or/and Moving and Handling of People.
- Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults.

How many visitors can you have?
A resident can have as many visitors as they want.
How often and when can you visit?
You are welcome to visit whenever you want, but we do ask visitors to respect residents’ meal times where possible.
Do the rooms have Wifi?
Yes.
Can I request that specific carers support me?
Yes, all decisions and wishes requested are respected at the home.
Can I request that my own hairdresser visits the home?
Yes.
Can I help with cooking food?
Yes, we encourage residents to help with cooking as this promotes independence. Resident would be supervised at all times in the kitchen to ensure safety is maintained.
I like gardening, can I continue with this?
Yes, the home will always support you with maintaining your hobbies and interests.
I like to visit the local shops, how will I achieve this?
You can come and go as you wish. If you need support for outings, this can be arrange for a small fee.
What are the home policies and procedures?
We have over 70 policies and procedures to ensure that everyone knows what to expect from the home, how we work and what to do if you need support.
Please email us, phone us or ask a senior member of staff and we can supply these for you. We can also provide easyread policies and procedures on demand.
Can I raise a complaint?
You have the right to make a complaint about any aspect of our care or service. You can contact the home directly to speak to the manager, speak to the provider (Harpinder Birring on 07842814757) or contact the CQC.
Why don’t the staff wear uniforms?
We want our locations to be a home from home. We don’t our residents to feel like they are in a clinical location, this is for their comfort. Our staff can be identified by their lanyards and badges.
